Introduction: “Marfan syndrome” is caused due to mutation in the gene FBN1 that produces a protein called Fibrillin-1. This protein forms microfibrils inside the cells, which support the connective tissues. The defect in this protein causes a lack of strength in the connective tissues of the human body. It is inherited in the form of the autosomal dominant trait.
