Introduction:
The pituitary gland is considered as the master gland of the endocrine system as it is responsible for regulating the secretion of other endocrine glands. The anterior pituitary lobe secretes stimulating hormones such as thyroid-stimulating hormone, parathyroid-stimulating hormone, and so on. The posterior pituitary lobe releases the stored hormones such as antidiuretic hormone (ADH).
