Concept explainers
The contents of the two truck which collide on an icy road.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
Momentum is calculated by measuring mass of an object and velocity of the object. It is a vector quantity.
When the two trucks collide on the ice road, due to icy road there is no friction hence velocity of truck not decreases. After collision, the truck moves more than half speed so this indicates that the moving truck contains more load so that its mass increases the velocity so that momentum is conserved.
Conclusion:
Moving truck carrying more load than truck at rest.
