Bumpers compression during crass will reduce the force.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
Newton’s Second law: Force on an object is directly proportional to rate of change of its momentum.
Cars are made with bumpers so that they can be pushed in during a crash. Due to compression of bumpers after crash, time of a collision increases, due to which rate of change of momentum will get reduced and hence according to Newton’s second law, force will get reduced. Less force means less injuries and less harm to the car.
Conclusion: Bumpers compression during crass will reduce the force.
