Introduction:

ATP molecules originate during glucose breakdown by various processes such as glycolysis, cellular respiration, and fermentation. Glycolysis and fermentation take place in the cytoplasm of the cell while cellular respiration takes place in the mitochondrial matrix. NADH and FADH2 are the two molecules that originate in the mitochondrial matrix by cellular respiration or Kreb’s cycle Acetyl Coenzyme-A molecule followed by Kreb’s cycle originates in the cytosol and enters into the mitochondria through mitochondrial membrane.
