Introduction:

Coordinate system:

It is an artificial mathematical tool. It is used to represent the position of object, numbers, vectors.

Coordinate systems use one, two, or three coordinates depending upon the variables.

Coordinate system with one coordinate represent 1-dimensional space, coordinate system with tow coordinate represent 2-dimensional space and coordinate system with three coordinates represent 3-dimensional space.

For motion on a hill, two coordinates coordinate system is used.

The vertical y axis is generally set perpendicular to the surface of the hill and the horizontal x axis is set parallel to the inclination of the hill.
