To Sketch: The components of the velocity vector of stone falling on car which is moving up a hill.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:The car is moving up a hill with the positive x axis parallel to hill. Here, assume that that positive direction points upwards which is perpendicular to the hill.The velocity components of the stone falling on the car vertically downwards are shown in the figure below:
  
Here, both velocity components are taken as negative since the car is moving up a hill in positive direction along x axis.So, the x component of the velocity is in negative direction and y component of velocity is also in negative y direction since stone is falling down.
