Explanation of Solution

Fungi have multiple applications for the treatment. Penicillium notatum, the deuteromycete can be used as a source of penicillin. This antibiotic saved untold lives. Chemical compounds present in the Claviceps purpurea fungus are used to relieve high blood pressure, manage internal bleeding, treat headaches of migraine and facilitate contractions during childbirth. The Norwegian Tolypocladium inflatum fungi are also a deuteromycete, which is the cause of cyclosporine. Cyclosporine is an antibody suppressant drug given to people for organ transplants to prevent their bodies from rejecting the foreign organ.
