Question
Chapter 17, Problem 29RA
Summary Introduction
To review:
The effect of hyperventilation on urinary bicarbonate excretion.
Introduction:
Hyperventilation is known as over-breathing and it is a condition wherein the breathing rate becomes very fast. Hyperventilation results in a disbalance of uptake of carbon dioxide or oxygen gas as the exhalation is more than the inhalation in the hyperventilation condition. The bicarbonate is a form of carbon dioxide and it regulates the body acidity by maintaining the electrolytes of the blood.
