Summary Introduction
To determine: The possible genotypes of the blood groups A, B, AB and O.
Introduction: Human blood group is an example of codominance. A gene has two pairs of alleles, which are either dominant or recessive. In heterozygotes, the dominant allele usually masks the expression of recessive allele, so that the dominant allele is expressed. Codominance is a type of dominance in which both the alleles of a heterozygous gene are coexpressed resulting in a trait that is neither dominant nor recessive.
