Introduction:
A single-celled thick pigmented epithelium is present in the retina. Along with the pigmented epithelium, the retina also contains the photoreceptor neurons and a layer of other neurons. An inner nuclear layer of retina contains oval shaped bipolar cells and these cells are specially designed for sense transmission.
