Interpretation:The source of energy which is no longer used to a great extent needs to be determined.
Concept introduction: There are several potential energy sources available: the sun, the nuclear processes, biomass, wind, synthetic fuels, etc.
Answer to Problem 11STP
Wood is no longer used to a great extent.
Explanation of Solution
The energy is usually conserved in every process but the quality of these energy decreases with every process. The principal driving force of the natural processes can be defined as in terms of “matter spread” and “energy spread”.
Wood has various uses in our lives. For the production of wood, a large number of trees are cut down every year. Most of the places has faced deforestation for the same. Also burning of wood results in pollution. So, we preserve the trees, the use of wood has been decreased.
Therefore, out of the sources of natural gases, wood has no longer used to a great extent.
Wood is no longer used to a great extent as a source of energy.
