Introduction:
A single neurotransmitter can cause alternate or opposite effect in the same target cell/tissue. The effect of neurotransmitters in the target cell or tissue may vary depending upon the type of receptors present in the target cell or tissue. There are various drugs that block a particular receptor in the cell. Thus, the drugs can cure a disease or hypersensitivity caused by receptors or neurotransmitters.
