Question
Chapter 6, Problem 19RA
Summary Introduction
To review:
The following:
Contribution of Na+/K+ (Sodium/potassium ions) pumps to resting membrane potential
Effects of open gated sodium and potassium ions channels on membrane potential.
Introduction:
The membrane potential is attributed to the charge differences that develop across a membrane. The resting membrane potential term is used when a cell does not take part in production or tansmission of impulse. Na+/K+ pumps are the carriers of primary active transport.
