Concept explainers
To suggest:
A measure to stop the death of fishes after rain.
Introduction:
The abiotic factors are the environmental factors that have a major role in the survival of any organism. In an ecosystem, all the organism have their own niche and they respond to the changes in the environment differently.
Explanation of Solution
After heavy rainfall, the temperature of the water body may decrease. Due to the decrease in the temperature, the density of the water increases, which in turn causes a decrease in the oxygen level of the water. The normal growth of the algae supports all other parameters that are not affected much by the rainfall and algae do not need oxygen from water as they are photosynthetic. So, it can be said that the death of fishes is due to a decrease in the oxygen level. The oxygen level of the water body can be increased by the increasing aeration in the lake.
