Introduction:
A test was conducted to know the role of trehalose in starch formation. The formation of starch is tested in three solutions and below is the result of the experiment.
Explanation of Solution
As a result of this experiment, it can be seen that formation of starch in sucrose solution and trehalose solution is higher than the control. The maximum amount of starch is made in the trehalose solution and content of sucrose is highest in sucrose solution.
This means that trehalose is the factor, which is responsible for starch production. Hence, the given hypothesis is true.
