Introduction:
Obesity is a disease that causes excessive accumulation of body fat that results in weight gain. It increases the risk of occurring many serious diseases like heart disease, cancer, and blood pressure. Obesity may result due to inherited factors and personal diet, and exercise choices. Change in the diet, behavior changes, and increase in physical activity reduces the risk of obesity. Most of the American people consume high calories, as people of America are more likely to consume high-calorie beverages and fast food.
Explanation of Solution
Obesity is one of the major health issues for the United States. As a result, it increases many fatal diseases like cancer, diabetes, coronary artery disease, hypercholesterolemia, and stroke. Due to these diseases, the mortality rate also increased. According to the National Institute of Health, obesity is the second most fatal disease that causes death in the United State. It is estimated that there are 300,000 deaths every year. Obesity is caused due to high consumption of calories as compared to daily exercise and activities. Diet has an important connection to obesity. In America, soybean oil is consumed in high amounts and people are more likely to consume processed food. This causes drastic weight gain among the people of the US and causes diseases related to obesity.
The consumption of high-calorie food and processed food caused an increase in the obesity rate in the last 30 years in the United States.
