The nutrient is a food-supply material that is necessary for the continuation of life for development. Human needs nutrients like protein, vitamin, carbohydrate, fats, minerals, dietary fiber, and water. The difference between vitamins and minerals are given below:

Vitamins	Minerals
These are organic compounds.	These are inorganic compounds.
They are needed in small amount for metabolic activities.	They are needed for bodybuilding and metabolic functions.
Vitamin A, B, C, D, etc. are the example of vitamins.	Iron, calcium, zinc, magnesium, etc. are examples of minerals.
