Chapter 34, Problem 9MCQ
Summary Introduction

Introduction:

HIV (Human immunodeficiency virus) caused the disease AIDS (Acquired immune disease syndrome) in the patient. This virus infects the helper T-cells. The helper T cells differentiate into memory T cells, which develop a response to the invading foreign virus antigen. The infection by this virus destroys these helper T cells, which fight against the invading pathogens.
