Answer to Problem 5A

Correct answer :

The correct answer is option C referred to right ventricle.

Explanation of Solution

Explanation/justification for the correct answer :

Option C referred to right ventricle. The right ventricle is one of four chambers of the heart. It is present in the lower right portion of the heart below the right atrium and opposite the left ventricle. So, the correct answer is option C.

Explanation for incorrect answer :

Option A referred to right atrium. The right atrium is present superior to the right ventricle and anteromedial to the left atrium. So, this is an incorrect answer.

Option B referred to left atrium. It is present at the upper right chamber of the heart. So, this is an incorrect answer.

Option D referred to left ventricle. The left ventricle is one of four heart’s chambers. It is present in the bottom left portion of the heart below the left atrium, separated via the mitral valve.  So, this is an incorrect answer.
