Summary Introduction

To write:

The part of the air pathway that branches off the trachea.

Introduction:

The respiratory system is the connection between organs and tissues that control our breathing. It consists of our airways, lungs, and blood vessels. The muscles that strengthen our lungs are additional components of the respiratory system. These parts function together to support our body to absorb oxygen from the air so our organs can function. It additionally cleans waste gases, such as carbon dioxide, from our blood. Common troubles consist of allergies, diseases, or infections.

Explanation of Solution

The trachea is approximately 4.5 inches lengthy and 1 inch in diameter and is comprised of flat muscle and numerous c-shaped rings of cartilage. The rings of cartilage give stability and help to stop the trachea from collapsing and blocking off the airways. The trachea extends from the neck and divides into two major bronchiStructurally same to the trachea, the two main bronchi are present inside the lungs. The right bronchus is barely larger than the left one. Because of this, external objects breathed into the lungs frequently end up in the right bronchus. The bronchi are covered with the same kind of mucus that lines the remains of the respiratory tract.

Conclusion

Thus, we can conclude that the human trachea (windpipe) categories into two major bronchi (also called main stem bronchi), at the anatomical factor called the carina. The right main bronchus is larger and shorter than the left main bronchus.
