Introduction: The largest and the oldest organisms on earth belong to Kingdom Fungi. There are both unicellular and multicellular Fungi. Some of the multicellular fungi are Honey mushroom and single-celled or unicellular fungi are yeast. Some features of fungi that differ from plants are cell walls, their hyphae, and their crossed walls.
Explanation of Solution
The most important role of fungi is that it decomposes assisting with recycling the nutrients found in dead organisms. Fungi also have many medicinal properties. It can be used as penicillin and this antibiotic has saved many lives. Chemical compounds found in the fungus Claviceps purpura are used to reduce high blood pressure, to control excessive bleeding, to treat migraine headaches, and to promote contractions during childbirth.
Thus, this is the role of fungi on earth.
