Explanation of Solution
In the cell body is located the neuron nucleus and much of the cell organelles. There is a slight distance between one neuron's axon, and another neuron's dendrite. This backdoor is called a synapse. A neurotransmitter is a chemical that diffuses over a synapse and binds to receptors on a neighboring neuron's dendrite
