To write:
To discuss the protectiveness of Male bluegills towards their offspring
Introduction:
Bluegill is a freshwater fish, some time can be referred to as “copper nose”. It belongs to the family Centarchidae and is the native of North America.
Explanation of Solution
Parental male bluegills (Lepomis macrochirus) occur in the United States naturally. They live in shallow waters of lakes, ponds rivers, etc. After spawning, these males then alone stay to guard the eggs and hatchling against predators.
As the eggs need oxygen for eggs, the male bluegill fish fans his tail back and forth to provide oxygen in the water. The male bluegills are so protective that they do not leave the eggs to search for food. They only leave when the eggs are able to swim on their own.
To protect the eggs from the predators, male bluegills make sure that no predators should be there around the eggs, he sometimes later, make the female bluegill go away from the eggs to protect them.
