Introduction:

The gametes are haploid in nature, that is, they have 23 number of chromosomes, where the individual body is diploid in nature, that is, it has 46 number of chromosomes. Both male and female gametes are fused together and result in the formation of the zygote which is diploid in nature as it gains an equal number of chromosomes from both gametes.
