Case Summary: The chairman of company T, Person ET, was concerned about the sustainability of his company with the present model of cars which were launched. The VP of R&D, Peron YK initiated G21 project, whose goal is to produce fuel efficient cars. Launched in 1997, G21 became the Prius. Initially, the sales for the car began at a slow pace but soon by the 2010, 500,000 cars were sold. In 2015, the company launched FCV in country C’s market which operated based on hydrogen.
To determine: Whether Prius and FCV horizon 1, 2 or 3 are innovations?
