Summary Introduction
To review:
The comparison and contrast of sulfur
Introduction:
Extremophile Euryarchaeota is sub-classified into Thermococcales, Archaeoglobus, Thermoplasmatales, and Nanoarchaeota. Thermococcales include genus Thermococcus and Pyrococcus. Most of them respire anaerobically. The sulfur acts as a terminal electron acceptor for anaerobic respiration. The order Thermoplasmatales include genus Thermoplasmaacidophilum and Ferroplasmaacidarmanus. These microbes lack a cell wall and only the plasma membrane is present as an outermost boundary.
