Introduction:

Hyperthermophiles have a special adaptation for growing in thermal spring or black smoker vents. They can tolerate high temperatures up to 121°C (degree Celsius). Several archaeal species are adapted to grow near the vents. These microbes have a special motility structure on their cell surface that is called flagellum. This structure helps the microbe to move in the direction of the chemical stimuli.
