Introduction: The excretory system consists of one pair of kidneys, one pair of ureters, a urethra, and a bladder. Each kidney has a total of about 1 million small nephrons. Inulin is described as a polysaccharide obtained from the tuberous roots of different kinds of plants.

To determine: The excretion rate of inulin and X.

Introduction: The excretion occurs outside the body from the lumen. The amount of the type of substrate excreted in the urine considers the net handling of that particular substance at the time of its flow through the nephron. The amount that is excreted equates to the filtered amount in the tubule, subtracting the reabsorbed amount in the blood, and adding the secreted amount in the tubule lumen.
