Introduction:
The insulin hormone is secreted from the islets of Langerhans that are located in the pancreas. The hormone glucagon is also released from the pancreas. Both these hormones work in coordination in order to regulate the blood glucose levels. Insulin reduces the increased blood glucose concentration while glucagon acts to elevate the decreased blood glucose levels.
