Introduction:
The liver is the largest organ of the body which is present on the right side of the stomach. It is located on the bottom of the diaphragm within the abdominal cavity. It weighs about 1.3 kilogram in an adult. The cells of the liver are termed as the hepatocytes. These hepatocytes give rise to the hepatic plates.
