The wave mechanical model is the more widely accepted model than the Bohr model because it satisfies the Heisenberg principle and it also justifies the line spectra of multi electronic systems which the Bohr model is unable to do.
The Bohr model is a one-dimensional model that can describe the electron using a single quantum number but in wave model, the electrons are considered to occupy three dimensional space and three quantum numbers are required to show the distribution of electrons in the atom
