Introduction:

Water is a biological solventand has a dipolar structure. It possesses the capacity to form a hydrogen bond in which two neighboring water molecules attract each other. The hydrogen bond has both covalent and ionic characteristics. Ionic interaction in an aqueous solution is termed the hydration of ions. The water molecules are attracted toward the charged molecules and they make shells of water called solvation spheres.
