Introduction:

Every organism on the earth is made up of cells. In the multicellular organism, the cells make up tissues, the tissues make up organ and the organs are together arranged in an organ system. Digestive system is such an organ system that help in digestion of the food.

Explanation of Solution

The digestive system is an organ system that consist of the oral cavity, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, intestine and rectum. However, the structures are different in different organism. The tube-like structure present in neck region is called pharynx. The pharynx also secretes some of the digestive juices which help in digestion of the prey species.
