Introduction:
Vegetative reproduction is a kind of asexual reproduction that occurs in plants. Here, new plant grows from the fragment of parent plant. Many plants reproduce by this manner only. Vegetative reproduction can be induced in plants artificially as well.
Explanation of Solution
Three examples of vegetative reproduction are −
1. Cutting − In this, stem or leaf of a plant is cut and then planted in the soil. The new plant gets developed from the cut out portion of the plant.
2. Grafting − Here, a portion of a plant is cut, and then attached to the stem of another rooted plant.
3. Layering − Here, the stem of the plant is bent and buried in soil. Then, adventitious roots get emerged from the part of the plant that us covered in soil.
