Explanation of Solution

Vegetative reproduction is form of asexual reproduction. In this type of reproduction, a part of plant is separated from main body and form a new plant.

Chemotaxis is the locomotion of the plant or its structure in presence of a chemical gradient.

Protonema is primary filamentous thalloid stage of gametophyte of liverworts and mosses.

Prothallus is a small multicellular flattened structure that is produced by germinating spore. It represents the gametophyte of some other plants,

Heterosporous are seed bearing plants and seedless plant. These are characterized by morphologically dissimilar spore which is produced as microspore and megaspore.

Megaspore is immobile spore which give rise to the gametophyte, and it is also called macrospore.

Microspore is haploid spore in the case of heterozygote plant which give rise to the male gametophyte. It is mobile and smaller than megaspore.

Micropyle is a small opening in the surface of the ovule. It serves as a foramen for the pollen tube formation.
