Molecular formula of linolenic acid = C18H30O2

Condensed structural formula of linolenic acid:

CH3CH2CH=CHCH2CH=CHCH2CH=CH(CH2)7COOH

The reaction between linolenic acid and hydrogen molecule is:

Now, to balance the above equation, hydrogen atoms must be equal on both sides of reaction
