Question
Chapter 22.2, Problem 8AYLO
Summary Introduction
To discuss:
Why the driving respiratory airflow is measured in cm H2O relatively to Hg which measures other pressures.
Introduction:
The primary organs of the respiratory system are the lungs that are found in the chest on the right and left side. The function of the lungs is to allow exchange of gases between the external environment and the blood. The inhaled air passes the respiratory airway to reach the alveoli of the lungs where the exchange of gases takes place. Respiratory airflow is the movement of air through the respiratory tract from the region of high pressure to the region of low pressure.
