Chapter 22.1, Problem 5BYGO
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
The epithelium is a basic tissue that lines the outer and inner surfaces of all organs in the human body. The respiratory tract in the body is lined with various types of epithelial tissues such as squamous, cuboidal, and pseudostratified columnar epithelium. Bronchioles are small tubes with the size of 1 mm in diameter that branches off from the large bronchus. It is a part of the conducting zone where air passes through it to the alveoli. The alveoli are small ducts where the exchange of gases occurs.
