Find the sample to be used.
Answer to Problem 4CFU
Tyler’s sample should be used.
Explanation of Solution
Given information:
Karen, Tyler and Mark need to make a class project. Karen suggests that they should ask the students in their English class. Tyler suggests that they should ask every twentieth student as they enter the school. Mark suggests that they should ask the member of track team.
Calculation:
Here, we have three samples given by Karen, Tyler and Mark.
Now, by observing three of them Tyler’s sample should be used because as every twentieth student who enters the school will produce a representative sample. As compared to that of English class and track team.
Hence, Tyler’s sample should be used.
