Introduction:
The number of the identical movement of the particle about some mean position in unit duration is called the frequency of the particle.
The time in which the particle complete one identical movement about some mean position is called the period of the particle.
The expression between the frequency and period of the particle is given as.
The time period varies inversely with variation in the frequency of the particle.
If the frequency of the wave increase then the period of the wave decreases because the time available for one complete identical motion decrease due to increase in the number of identical motion of the particle.

Therefore, the period of the wave decreases with increase in the frequency of the particle.
