Chapter 12, Problem 13TYK
Summary Introduction

Introduction: Cell division is a natural process in which a parent cell divides to produce two daughter cells. Cell cycle is divided into interphase and mitosis. Interphase is divided into gap1 (G1) phase, synthetic phase (S-phase), and gap 2 (G2) phase. Mitosis phase is divided into prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase.

A kinase is a protein that adds a ubiquitin chain to other proteins Cyclin activity is necessary, but not always sufficient, for CDK activation   d. Cyclin proteins must be degraded before Cdk proteins can be activated
What happens during telophase?   A. Chromosomes are visible, nuclear envelope disappears, spindle fibers become visible   B. Sister chromatids are pulled apart, daughter cells begin to from   C. Chromosomes line up in the middle, microtubules attach themselves to chromosomes   D. Sister chromatids reach opposite ends of the cell, nucelar envelopes begin to form
