Chapter 12, Problem 14TYK
Summary Introduction

Introduction: Cell division is a procedure in which a parent cell divides into two daughter cells. There are many phases of cell cycle. Broadly, cell cycle is divided into interphase and mitotic phase. Interphase is divided into gap1 (G1) phase, synthetic phase (S-phase), and gap 2 (G2) phase. There are control points that regulate the process of cell cycle and are called cell cycle checkpoints. There are three important checkpoints present in the cell cycle. These are G1 checkpoints, G2 checkpoints, and M phase checkpoints.
