In the past two years, we the freshman of Zeta Class have had the opportunity to witness the difference between Howard University communities with and without Phi Delta Epsilon. We have witnessed the members of DC Alpha Chapter that had misguided intents for the security of our beloved fraternity graduate and leave the University. We the members of Zeta Class have continued to uphold the standards and precepts that Phi Delta Epsilon holds dear. We have graduated members that have gone on to medical schools, and we have participated in many prestigious summer programs such as SMDEP and Amgen Scholars, we have traveled across the world together, we serve in many other organizations on campus, and we continue to be the leaders of the Pre-Medical Community at Howard University. We still hold the fraternity near and dear to our hearts, our only hope is to reverse the damage done without Phi Delta Epsilon on campus and promote the success of physician with integrity. Being the sole survivors of Phi Delta Epsilon, we hope that today we have plead our case and you will consider reclamation of DC Alpha chapter of Phi Delta Epsilon International Medical
Alpha Epsilon Delta, an organization that had just became an official chapter at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith had to begin somewhere. From the time of its conception I was highly involved in the organization. I was voted president after serving on the inaugural executive team as treasurer. Newly formed organizations tend to dwindle without the correct guidance and leadership. I was determined not to let that happen to an organization with such ambitious causes diminish. I was able to reform and drastically develop the organization by using perseverance and problem-solving skills. We went from having one speaker during my term as treasurer to a having an invited speaker every month when I became president. I solved the problems from
From a time when achievement was rare, and succeeding among minority was minuscule, a sense of order was needed. During this time Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated came into the world, bringing core values and achievement. Within the five objectives Kappa Alpha Psi showcases the distinction of itself from other fraternities. The founding fathers had the desire to shape a unique group personality different from the other greek letter college organizations, around the idea of achievement. When achievement was mainly concerned with improvement of personal status, security, and meeting the demands of everyday living the founders of the fraternity envisioned something bigger. Thus bringing about the Five Objectives that men of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated live by and exemplify on a day to day basis showcasing Achievement in every field of human endeavor.
Men of Alpha Phi Alpha such as James Felton and Vaun Davis are key to why I want to pursue my aspirations of someday becoming a brother of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity incorporated. Both James and Vaun’s unselfishness has allowed me to grow as a leader and also into a man. These role models have opened numerous doors for me that have resulted into various benefits and opportunities. I hope my encounters with great Alpha Men such as James Felton and Vaun Davis will allow me the opportunity of joining the highly respected brotherhood. Another abundant encounter that I have experienced with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, is the true meaning and display of brotherhood. For years I have watched the interactions and connections of men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated I have noticed that each member that I have encountered expresses and implements the true meaning of brotherhood. I profoundly believe in the bond of brotherhood and fraternity. In my belief, if granted the chance to uphold the unbreakable bond such as the brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, the bond would enhance my credentials while assisting and challenging others. The brotherhood would push me to
Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Incorporated purpose is to be of service to all mankind dealing with critical issues in communities domestically and internationally. What I have grown to understand an envision a woman of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated to be, I accredit largely to the ladies of the Gamma Theta chapter. This has the result of attending many of the chapter’s events during my time at Hampton thus far. One of my favorite events was a screening of a documentary Girls Rising. I learned to appreciate every opportunity to learn and gain knowledge because in some parts of the world girls are restricted from receiving an education. A
Members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated have made everlasting effects on my life. Having mentors in this fraternity allowed me to see how every member feels responsible for improving the communities that they are from. They never hesitate to take the leadership roles that are needed to see change. I would like to become a member of Alpha Phi Alpha because it would allow us to share a brotherhood with great men, it will allow me to make valuable connections with other positive men around the world, and it will help me become the best version of myself. My desire to become a member of this fraternity began my freshmen year after I attended the first informational meeting. At this meeting I was able to speak with members and also learn from them. They each have strong leadership characteristics that allow them to serve on executive boards across campus and they all are high achieving students at Cornell.
My interest in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, started a long time ago, in fact when my first interest was peaked I wasn’t even able to pursue my interest as I was still in high school. I was able to participate in several of the “groups” within Alpha Kappa Sorority Inc., such as the “Roses” and the “Pearls”.
I am writing you on behalf of the undergraduate Chapter of Delta Upsilon at San Jose State University to formally respond to the allegations that have led to the emergency suspension of the chapter on May 14, 2016. Let me start by stating that we understand the seriousness of the issues at hand and intend to provide a detailed response and accountability to resolve the International Fraternity and the university concerns with our chapter. I am working directly with the alumni chapter advisor and corporation board members to fully document our understanding of the issues and the action plan we have proposed to resolve the allegations and issues.
By enlisting the help of everyone, they are starting to re-realize that Delta Zeta is important to them and that we all love each other. That disconnect, people feeling like they don’t belong, is something that takes hardly anytime to fix. That starts by every member saying hello on campus or knowing each other’s names. Right now, we are doing a good job of inspiring a shared vision of our chapter growing.

On December 5, 1776 the first collegiate fraternal greek letter organization in the United States, Phi Beta Kappa was founded at Yale, the College of William and Mary.Building from the example of literary organizations, which were based on literary debates, and election, Phi Beta Kappa set many standards for collegiate greek letter organizations in the realm of rituals/traditions, selective admittance, faculty and community support. It was not until one hundred and thirty years that the first black greek letter organization, Alpha Phi Alpha was founded. The need of this organization emerged from a lack of admittance and representation in social clubs and greek organizations established on college

When becoming an Alum of the best university, Oklahoma State University, I want to continue to support the university that helped to further my future. Spreading the word of the opportunities that Oklahoma State offers has a large impact on the number of students that attend this university. I plan to let many potential students know what this college has done and continues to do for me. I would love to see that Alpha Zeta has a large role in campus activities, and continues to grow membership each year. With a large student involvement, and respect among campus this organization has only a bright
I am interested in joining PhiDE because I am seeking a support system that I can relate to as I pursue my MD degree, a place where I can explore my passion for medicine besides taking science courses and an opportunity to make a difference in my community by contributing to PhiDE’s philanthropy. Since the start of college, I have always wanted to be part of a medical society. Applying to medical school is a tough process and I would like to have older and more experienced friends that can coach me through the process. PhiDE’s requirement that all students in the fraternity have to be pursuing an MD degree sets PhiDE apart from the other medical societies I have seen on campus. With PhiDE, I can be apart of a community of students that have
We represent our letters 24/7 and our connection to values is evident in our daily actions. The culture of Gamma Pi Chapter must continue to change and refocus on the true meaning of our Fraternity. You must continue open and honest communication with the Fraternity and your Coordinator of Chapter
The Fraternity does not take cultural insensitivity lightly, and I want to apologize for the misstep taken during the program presented to you by one of the Every Member Education Trainers. The last thing we want to have happen is to have our collegiate members feel upset over any programs presented. This could have opened dialogue about a subject that is relevant to all of us. It is disappointing that this opportunity was missed.
