Web Shop scenario:
A supplier (Supp-#) processes many purchase orders (PO-#) and sells a number of products (Prod-#). A product is sold by only one supplier. Each of the purchase orders that a supplier may process includes several products. The relationship between order and product is defined as "Line Item". A customer (Cust-#) may place one or more purchase orders. A purchase order may be placed by only one customer.
Assignment requirements:
Answer the following questions using above scenario:
Identify the entities and attributes that required to draw the ER diagram.
Integrate the entities with appropriate relationship and design the unified ER model.
Question IV: ER Modeling
A social recreation club has a system to keep track of club members, committees and activities.
Each club has a registration number and a title. Several members form committee. Members are male and females. Each committee has a name, a unique number and a date, which the committee has formed.
The system stores the members’ unique identification number, name, address, gender, birth date and club joining date. The club forms committees for different activities.
A committee controls and organizes a number of activities, each of which has a unique name, a unique number and description of the event. An event has event ID and description of the event. An activity may consist of several events. Committee publishes many online advertisements about the activities. Advertisement details are ID and a title.
Draw the ER diagram to represent the above scenario
This decision tree structure has three options. You believe in gathering data and making decisions.

- Problem Statement: An election is a formal group decision-making process by which a population chooses a candidate by casting votes. Each candidate is assigned name and a specific symbol. A ballot paper is used to cast the vote. Each ballot paper contains symbols of the candidate. A person can vote a candidate by stamping on a specific symbol. The ballot paper should be considered as a spoilt ballot if a person does not stamp or stamp on more than one symbol. Finally ballot paper has to be dropped in a ballot box. Write a C++ program that reads the information from the user to enter the name of the candidate, the total number of received votes, and the spoilt votes in a local election. The total number of participants (candidates) are 5. If the user mistakenly enters any negative value, the program should consider that value as a positive integer. Suppose a student fills out a blank form and sends it to his or her departmental chairperson for a signature. If the amount of funds requested by the student is small (under Tk. 10,000), then the chairperson signs the form and routes it to accounts payable to be input into the accounting system. The system cuts a check that is sent to the student for the right amount, and after the check is cashed, the form is filed away with the canceled check. If the check is not cashed within 30 days, the form expires. When the amount of the requested fund is large (over Tk. 10,000), the chairperson signs the form and sends it to the chief financial officer along with a paragraph explaining the reason for the grant, and the chief financial officer will sign the form and pass it…arrow_forward
- Business example: Precision Tools sells a line of high-quality woodworking tools. When customers place orders on the company’s Web site, the system checks to see if the items are in stock, issues a status message to the customer, and generates a shipping order to the warehouse, which fills the order. When the order is shipped, the customer is billed. The system also produces various reports. Draw a context diagram for the order system, and draw a diagram 0 DFD for the order system. In addition to a general description of the business, analyze the organization using (a) Porter’s Five Forces model, and (b) the Value Chain model (i.e., how does the organization create value) B.
