Program Plan Intro
Print total babysitting bill
Program plan:
- Define the function “main()”,
- Sett and print the starting and ending time.
- Slice the minutes and hours from the starting time using string slicing.
- Slice the minutes and hours from the ending time using string slicing.
- Convert the starting and ending time into float of hours.
- Calculate the difference between starting and ending time.
- Check whether the ending time is less than “21”,
- If it is true, calculate the babysitting bill.
- Otherwise, Subtract “21” from the ending time and calculate the babysitting bill.
- Print the output.
- Call the function “main()”.

Transient PopulationPopulations are affected by the birth and death rate, as well as the number of people who move in and out each year. The birth rate is the percentage increase of the population due to births and the death rate is the percentage decrease of the population due to deaths. The starting size of a population P
The annual birth rate (as a percentage of the population expressed as a fraction in decimal form)B
The annual death rate (as a percentage of the population expressed as a fraction in decimal form)D
The average annual number of people who have arrived A

Airline companies apply baggage restrictions for their passengers. An
airline company has decided to apply a 10kg limitation for
passengers' hand luggage and 20kg for their normal baggage. When
passengers arrive, they enter their hand and normal luggage weight
from the keyboard. If passengers exceed their normal baggage
allowance of 10 dollars per gram, they pay 12 dollars per kg.
Accordingly, write the program that calculates the baggage price of
the airline they will go to according to the baggage values entered by
the arriving passenger and keeps this from closing the program for
each passenger. Note: If hand and normal baggage allowances are
stretched below the maximum value, the payment amount will be
considered not negative. An example printout is given on the right.

When Jacob Steinberg began his trip from California to Vermont, he filled his car’s tank with gas and reset its trip meter to 0. After traveling 324 miles, Jacob stopped at a gas station to refuel; the gas tank required 17 gallons. Jacob wants a program that calculates and displays his car’s gas mileage at any time during the trip. The gas mileage is the number of miles his car can be driven per gallon of gas. Desk-check your solution’s algorithm using 324 as the number of miles driven and 17 as the number of gallons used; then desk-check it using 280 and 15.

- When you borrow money to buy a house, a car, or for some other purpose, you repay the loan by making periodic payments over a certain period of time. Of course, the lending company will charge interest on the loan. Every periodic payment consists of the interest on the loan and the payment toward the principal amount. To be specific, suppose that you borrow $1,000 at an interest rate of 7.2% per year and the payments are monthly. Suppose that your monthly payment is $25. Now, the interest is 7.2% per year and the payments are monthly, so the interest rate per month is 7.2/12 = 0.6%. The first months interest on $1,000 is 1000 0.006 = 6. Because the payment is $25 and the interest for the first month is $6, the payment toward the principal amount is 25 6 = 19. This means after making the first payment, the loan amount is 1,000 19 = 981. For the second payment, the interest is calculated on $981. So the interest for the second month is 981 0.006 = 5.886, that is, approximately $5.89. This implies that the payment toward the principal is 25 5.89 = 19.11 and the remaining balance after the second payment is 981 19.11 = 961.89. This process is repeated until the loan is paid. Write a program that accepts as input the loan amount, the interest rate per year, and the monthly payment. (Enter the interest rate as a percentage. For example, if the interest rate is 7.2% per year, then enter 7.2.) The program then outputs the number of months it would take to repay the loan. (Note that if the monthly payment is less than the first months interest, then after each payment, the loan amount will increase. In this case, the program must warn the borrower that the monthly payment is too low, and with this monthly payment, the loan amount could not be repaid.)arrow_forwardQuestion 1 Write a payroll program that computes an employee's gross pay and net pay. An employee who works more than 40 hours per week should be paid at overtime rate (1.5 x regular rate) for all hours over 40. Suppose that the loan amount is L, r is the interest rate per year, m is the number of payments in a year, and the loan is for t years. Suppose that i = (r / m) and r is in decimal. Then the periodic payment is (first image which R=....): You can also calculate the unpaid loan balance after making certain payments. For example, the unpaid balance after making k payments is (second image which L'=....) : where R is the periodic payment. (Note that if the payments are monthly, then m = 12.) Instructions Write a program that prompts the user to input the values of L, r, m, t, and k. The program then outputs the appropriate values. Your program must contain at least two functions, with appropriate parameters, to calculate the periodic payments and the unpaid balance after certain payments.
