Question
Chapter 7, Problem 15Q
To determine
To Explain: one leans backward while carrying heavy load in arms.
Expert Solution & Answer
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
When a person normally walks (without the load), his CG (centre of gravity) lies in line with the feet, so the body remains in a balanced state.
When the person carries a heavy load, CG shifts and causes a tendency of falling forward. The person leans backwards in order to shift back the CG in order to maintain balance.
