Chapter 7, Problem 14TYK
Summary Introduction

Introduction: Action potentials are created by a particular variety of voltage-gated ion channels implanted in the cellular plasma membrane. The membrane potential in steady-state conditions where the flow of ions becomes positively or negatively charged across the plasma membrane is stabilized, as there is no further difference in charge accumulation across the membrane. It is called as resting membrane potential.
