Question
Chapter 4, Problem 4.77E
Interpretation Introduction
Interpretation:
The correct names to the given structural formulas are to be stated. The explanation for the consistency of the correct choice of names with the answer given in Exercise 4.76 is to be stated.
Concept introduction:
The partial electrostatic forces of attraction that exists between hydrogen atom and any bonded electronegative atom like oxygen atom is known as hydrogen bonding. Hydrogen bonding can be of two types, one is intramolecular hydrogen bonding and second is intermolecular hydrogen bonding. The intramolecular hydrogen bonding takes place within the molecule. The intermolecular hydrogen bonding takes place between different two molecules.

6. It is also known that "like dissolves like". Polar molecules tend to hang out with polar molecules,
while nonpolar molecules hang out with nonpolar molecules. Water is known to be a quite polar
molecule. So, what can you conclude about the polarity of the blue dye as compared to the
polarity of the yellow dye?
