To explain: Label the cross section of eudicot root and its vascular cylinder and identify the functions of all tissues.

Introduction: The root is one of the plant organs in the vascular plants. Generally, the root lies below the soil surface. The major role of roots includes storage of nutrients and food, absorption of inorganic nutrients, and water. The term eudicots result from the dicotyledons. In the dicots, the xylem is found in the center of the roots and the phloem is found outside the xylem.
